The company was founded in 1984 by Swiss designer Thomas Meyer. His ambition was to create something different which reflected individuality and uniqueness of each person, and to do so in a way as to make his garments affordable.
Desigual (Spanish word meaning ‘unequal, uneven’) are well-known for their patchwork, intense prints, graffiti art, asymmetry and bright colours.
